Scary movies have always been a staple of Hollywood. From suspense thrillers to gory, bloody slasher films, horror films can either fascinate us or horrify us to the point where we can’t even look at the screen anymore. There are so many reasons why scary movies are feared. First of all, the infamous suspense of horror films always catches our eye. We always gasp right before we know the killer in the movie is about to kill the young girl blindly walking down the street, or when we see a vengeful ghost in the mirror of the bathroom when the protagonist doesn’t. The irony of horror movies is what keeps us interested. Secondly, we never know what to expect. There are those bad horror films in which we know that everyone is going to die, or it’s so bad you walk out of the movie theater. However, the horror movies that always have a twist keep us scared on the edge of our seats, and at the end, the audience feels good after spending ten dollars on a movie ticket. Of course, we all have different tastes in the horror genre; some people prefer the movies where the main character is completely crazy, or they prefer the movies where a crazy, deformed killer runs around trying to kill the protagonists. It all depends on how much we can bear from these movies. Check out the list of the top 10 scary or suspenseful movies from
